Questions couples ask
What is the best place in India for a destination wedding?
It depends on the wedding you want. Kerala suits backwater and beach weddings with easy international flights into Kochi; Goa suits relaxed beach parties; Udaipur and Jaipur suit palace weddings; Rishikesh suits spiritual riverside ceremonies; Coorg and Jim Corbett suit smaller nature weddings.
How much does a destination wedding in India cost?
For 150 guests over three nights at a 4-star resort, most destinations fall between ₹42.2–90.7 lakh (about US$44,000–95,000) and ₹66.8 lakh–₹1.53 crore (about US$70,000–160,000), including rooms, food, venue, décor, photography, music and our planning fee. Palace weddings and peak dates cost more.
When is wedding season in India?
The main season runs from October to March, when most of India is dry and mild. Kerala and Goa are green and good value from September; the hills are pleasant in April and May. The June–September monsoon suits covered venues only.
Which Indian wedding destination is easiest to reach from abroad?
Goa, Kochi (for Kerala), Jaipur and Udaipur all have airports with one-stop connections from Europe and North America, usually through the Gulf. Kochi and Goa also have direct flights from the Gulf, useful for guests who live there.
