Indian guest lists are counted in families, not names. This one counts the way a planner does: people, rooms and plates.

How it works
Add each family or party with the number of people, which side they belong to, which functions they are invited to, whether they need a room and what they eat. Mark RSVPs as replies come in. The totals show people invited and coming, rooms at two to a room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian plates, and a count per function. Everything is saved in your browser; download a CSV to keep a copy or send it to us. Add a WhatsApp number to message a guest who has not replied.

Questions couples ask
How many guests should we plan for at an Indian wedding?
Count families, then people, then plates per function. In our experience the ceremony and reception draw the most; the mehndi and sangeet are usually smaller. For destination weddings most invited guests come, so plan rooms from the invited count and adjust as RSVPs arrive.
Where is my guest list stored?
Only in your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to us unless you download the CSV and share it. Clearing your browser data clears the list, so export a copy.
Can I import a list from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Save it as CSV with a “name” column; optional columns are side, group, people, rsvp, needs_room, diet, functions, phone and note. The CSV this tool exports imports back in the same way.
How do rooms get counted?
Two people to a room, counting only parties marked Coming who need a room. Change the number of people in a party to adjust it.
